R5AY gives birth at a secluded NS Beach

R5AY aka "Honey Girl" gives birth to a beautiful 30lb pup yesterday between 08:00 and 09:00 according to Marishia Hanneman who was first on the scene yesterday morning. We pointed out the placenta to NOAA's DB Dunlap who gathered it together for NOAA's study. After that, he roped off the area which will be continually monitored till our pup get's to be strong enough to take off on its own. I understand Mom will be with her new pup for between 4-6 weeks. Mom will lose a lot of weight and pup will gain a lot of weight. I'll keep you posted on the weekly developments right here on this site. It was documented by us that pups first suck was at 11:22 this morning. Up until then all pup wanted to do was snuggle with mom, figure out how to move around and bask in the sunshine.

Photo shoots are credited to: Marsha White while her husband, (herein known and identified as "Hanapa'a") was doing the unimportant gathering of trivial data which is surely to be deemed of no great concern to anyone but those interested in the assembling of petty trivia.

Honey Girl and pup are doing fine. My watch was from 05:00 - 09:00 then I was rushed to another secluded North Shore beach to watch KC and her new pup. Check the next posting for those pictures.
