DB & Tracy confirm this is Lona who frequents Maui and Molokai, is probably pregnant and will probably pup on Molokai. DB guesses that Lona will give birth around June 10 this year. And he guesses she'll give birth on Kalaupapa Molokai. Lets see how close he gets. Apparently Lona is one very fertile wahine.
Lona stuck around for at least a second day thru Saturday night. Then I got this post from Todd E. which said:
Aloha,
On 3/25 at approx. 3pm a seal F2, crawled up on our beach and hung out
for about an hour. Location was crozier drive at mahani'ai st. Lona
was awesome and absolutely made our vacation. She just hung out rubbed
her face and rolled around, oh and sneezed every now and then. Alas, a
dog came down the beach and she headed back in the water.
Thanks for the blog, it was neat to see a little bit of her past
adventures. Definetely a highlight for a couple east coasters who don't see seals.
